Walbrook hosted its third annual fall debate tournament. Turnout was healthy, with all 17 schoools in the BUDL represented at the tournament. The Baltimore Urban Debate League led a workshop on debate at Youth Explosion 2001. The session was attended by approximately 20 middle and high school students from the Baltimore Area. The new debate hotline is being used regularly by both students and coaches. The Hotline is a dedicated line for debate questions and for college application advice. The hotline operators our Asa and Allison, two Towson debaters with a wealth of knowledge to share so keep the calls coming!

Several BUDL schools have started to participate regularly in regional debate tournaments including Catholic Forensic League tournaments and National Forensic League tournaments that are out of state. On Halloween day an unprecedented UDL event took place on the East Coast.
